2.1 Event registration - name, company, email address, billing details and VAT number where applicable, and any dietary requirements you choose to give us. Dietary requirements may include health-related information such as allergies; we use this only to arrange catering for the event.
2.2 Newsletter sign-up -name and email address.
2.3 Contact forms - name, email address and the content of your message.
2.4 Blog comments - name, email address and any content you submit.
2.5 Website usage - IP address, browser type, pages visited and time spent on the Site, collected via cookies and analytics tools (see section 7).
2.6 Advertising enquiries - name, company and contact details submitted via sponsor or advertising enquiry forms.
3. How We Use Your Data
We process your data for the following purposes:
3.1 To process event registrations, issue tickets and manage attendance.
3.2 To send you event-related communications, including confirmations, updates and post-event materials.
3.3 To send newsletters and marketing communications where you have consented, or information about future Gaming in Europe events and similar services to existing customers where permitted by applicable law.
3.4 To respond to enquiries submitted via contact or advertising forms.
3.5 To publish blog comments and manage user contributions to the Site.
3.6 To improve the Site and understand how visitors use it.
3.7 To comply with our legal and financial obligations.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
4.1 Contract - processing necessary to fulfil your event registration or ticket purchase.
4.2 Legitimate interests - improving our services, managing relationships with sponsors and partners, and operating the Site.

Marketing Communications - We may send information about future Gaming in Europe events and similar services to ticket purchasers under Article 21.2 of the Spanish LSSI, based on our legitimate interests, unless they opt out during registration or subsequently unsubscribe. Other marketing communications are sent on the basis of consent.
We use AWeber to manage our mailing lists. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails or by contacting info@gamingin.eu.
4.4 Legal obligation - where we are required to retain data by law (e.g. financial records).
5. Sharing Your Data
5.1 We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5.3 Your company name may appear in published delegate lists or event materials.

6. Data Retention
6.1 Event registration data is retained for up to 7 years for financial and legal compliance purposes.
6.2 Newsletter subscriber data is retained while you remain subscribed. Where you unsubscribe or object to marketing, we may retain the minimum information necessary to record and respect your preference, subject to applicable data protection requirements.
6.3 Contact form and enquiry data is retained for up to 2 years unless there is an ongoing relationship.
6.4 Website analytics data is retained in anonymised or aggregated form.

9.2 Payment transactions are processed via secure, encrypted connections. We do not store full payment card details.

10.1 Some of our service providers (such as email and analytics platforms) may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where this is the case, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
